7 Steps to Solve High Paying Clients' Biggest Challenges

by Kelly O'Neil

Zig Ziglar once said, "You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want." And it's true. Business is pretty simple. You clients have a need that usually presents as something they perceive as a challenge or problem. You show up with a solution to their problem and wa la -- you now have a new client. And high end buyers are very happy to invest their money for you to solve their challenges.

You have probably noticed that the market is changing rapidly. People are in information overload and they are being bombarded with "potential" solutions to their challenges. To find and keep high paying clients today, businesses need to get "back to basics." And there's nothing more basic than being of service to your clients: no clients, no business.

The one area that I find that most entrepreneurs are falling down is in the department of sales. I know...there I said the dreaded word...SALES. Think of sales this way.... There are a lot of reasons for this, but the number one reason is fear of selling. The challenge is that in today's market people are totally overwhelmed with information online and most entrepreneurs are relying on mass online marketing methods -- which is quickly resulting in plummeting revenues.

The reason is that marketing was not intended to do sales. The intention of marketing is to raise awareness of your product or service to your ideal clients and communicate the value you offer. Sales is everything you do to enter a relationship with your new client from enrollment to signing a contract. Sales is simply being of service and providing the opportunity for you to solve your clients biggest challenges.

Without marketing you would not have prospects or leads to follow up with, but yet without a good conscious sales technique -- one that does not feel slimy or manipulative -- your business will not be profitable.

Enrolling high end buyers who can afford your programs and services is not at all like enrolling the general public online. It is all about building relationships and being of service.

Let me repeat:

Selling isn't about pulling one over on someone. It's about problem-solving and working with a client toward a solution. A client needs something from you. You have a service (or product) that solves a problem that the client has. The client has something you want--a problem that the client will pay you to solve. Remember that it's a two-way street.

To get back to basics in regards to sales, we must re-establish the fundamental approach of selling. Sales Is a science -- there are methods and processes that if put into practice on a consistent basis will lead to increased business, even in the most challenging of economies.

Here is Your Getting Started Checklist:

Be clear on your ideal high paying client profile: A strong sales foundation starts with a strong ideal client profile. You have to know exactly who you are talking to. Otherwise, you will waste both dollars and time trying to grow your business.

Schedule consistent time daily or weekly to pick up the phone and be of service: Nothing is more important when it comes to selling than to manage your time. The most successful sales people set a dedicated time each day (or week) to make the calls. They schedule it on their calendar like any other high value appointment.

Prepare your database: Do you have a list of who you want to serve through your product or service? After all, this is what all of the marketing effort is for. I have had clients enroll $50,000 worth of new business with their ideal clients off of a database of 75 people. You have to start somewhere.

Know what you are going to say and be clear about the value you offer: It is often a misunderstanding that people think they need some sort of elaborate script. Simple scripts are always best. Be authentic and remember, your intention is to build a relationship here.

Assemble your enrollment support tools: Are your enrollment tools setting you up for success? Do you have an brand that positions you as an expert and an attractive website that shows that you mean business, a brochure or other marketing materials and thank you notes? Make sure you are prepared before you pick up the phone.

Mindset is EVERYTHING: If you are afraid to have sales conversations or have some resistance around it, you are not alone. Even 84% of professional sales people report having call reluctance. Let's face it, when you think of a salesperson you might get that image of the used car guy. You know ... the one with the sleazy shoes and all the jewelry. In reality nothing on the planet actually sells itself. All things need a salesperson and you are the best person for the job!

Pick up the phone and start transforming lives: My clients are always pleasantly surprised at the results of actually picking up the phone and talking to their prospective clients. And the clients like it too. It feels good to build relationships -- on both ends. The key to success is making the calls from a place of being of service. How can you go wrong with that intention?

Remember, selling to high end buyers is all about all about building a relationship with your prospects and listening to their needs. Once you've built that relationship, shown you care, and earned their trust, you are on the road to enrolling them as a customer and changing lives.

The Four Levels of Transformation (Part 1)

by Christine Kloser

When you undertake any great entrepreneurial journey (birthing a book, creating a new program, developing a new service are perfect examples), there are four levels in which transformation occurs, and ALL levels need to be present to have the greatest possible impact!

The first level is YOUR transformation as the creator; the second level is the transformation of your “tribe” or readers; the third level is the transformation of your business (a natural benefit of the first two); and fourth is ultimately the transformation of the world.

Let’s take a look at the first level today… transforming your Self!

With any endeavor, the first and most critical step is to figure out where you’re going.  But, how often when you start a new project do you take a moment to discover for yourself where your want the project to take YOU on your transformational journey?

As a conscious author or entrepreneur, it does you no good to get started with a new project without bringing your full awareness to all that is at play.  And, let’s face it – the projects you take on transform you!  Its part of the blissful and blessed journey of being a creative entrepreneur… your WORK becomes your greatest catalyst for massive personal transformation!

So, just imagine how much more powerful and impactful your transformation can be if you go into a project knowing what’s on tap for your personal journey.

For instance, I was recently talking with one of my clients, Dallas Travers author of The Tao of Show Business, about the massive success she’s had since becoming a published author (she did my Get Your Book Done® program a few years ago).   Here’s what she said, “Christine’s work has allowed me to make an impact on people around the globe, but best of all it’s completely transformed who I see myself to be in the world.”

Did you get that?  The most powerful part of what she shared is – what was best of all was how writing a book completely TRANSFORMED who she sees herself to be in the world.  Now, that’s powerful stuff!

It is this personal transformation that has allowed her to step into her place as a leader in her field, quadruple her income in 2 short years, more than quadruple her email list and be living a life she really loves!

She knew when she decided to join my program that it was going to be about much more than her book, or her business… she knew her LIFE was about to change for the better because she was committed to the transformational journey (and the courage, clarity and confidence that came along with it)!

How about you?

The next time you decide to create or birth a new book, program, product or service… will you do the work in advance to get clear on the personal transformation you want to receive through the process?  I’d highly encourage you to take this step first!

Connecting with the personal transformation that’s at stake for you is like adding rocket fuel to the whole process of creation in your business.  When YOU transform, everything you touch transforms… and the miracles and blessings from that transformation can’t help but pour upon you!

Stay tuned for Part 2…

De’Anna Sullivan of Old World Gourmet on Women Entrepreneurs Radio™

Old World Gourmet, OWG, is an upscale food and beverage company that started in 2001 after De’Anna Sullivan and her husband had a lengthy Sunday afternoon chat.  They suddenly realized that they had absolutely no time together because of their careers.  They talked it over, made some plans and turned in their 2 week notices the next day.  De’Anna knew she wanted to do something on her own.

De’Anna always had a passion for making and mixing new drinks and flavors. The wheels began to turn quickly in her head as Old World Gourmet was evolving right before her eyes! She slowly began experimenting with products like lemonade mix, sweet tea and hot chocolate. She knew the company needed that one sure thing that would set them apart from any other gift company on the market. Thus, the freezing wine concept was born!

The frozen drink idea came when she was putting together new recipes to increase the product line.  Freezing wine was a totally OUT OF THE BOX concept! Red wines are served between 50-65 degrees depending on variety, and white wine is typically served between 43-48 degrees again depending on variety which is well above the freezing mark! She started blending together items until she reached the flavor profiles that she fell in love with. OWG and the Vinolicious line of frozen wine mixers are born.

What a perfect concept for innovation, creativity, and hopefully to capture the attention of individuals that really did not care for wine at all.  No one in the industry was doing anything with mixes for wine and nothing at all frozen. What they were getting ready to do was sure to create a buzz just within the wine industry itself!  De’Anna always says, “If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would still be coming to my office every day creating new and unique items!”

For De’Anna, it has been a very long walk from point A to point B.  The company has been funded, grown and operated solely on her personal finances, a feat in itself in this economy.  It’s safe to say Old World Gourmet is in this industry for the long haul.  Their customers can continue to look forward to and anticipate new and exciting products from them for a long time! All products can be seen by visiting www.owgshoponline.com. OWG products are sold in retail stores across country and online.

5 Headline Formulas That Will Never Go Out of Style

by Ali Brown

In the world of marketing, or anytime you need people to read what you are writing, your first impression is your headline. A catchy one will draw people in to learn more—and a so-so one can make you easily forgettable.

Headlines are meant to grab people’s attention. They should make it EASY for people to make a decision about you. Can you solve their problems? Does your tone fit their style? Are they enticed to read on? It is possible to communicate all this in ONE simple sentence. And you don’t have to be a pro copywriter to master this skill.

Read on for FIVE proven headline formulas that consistently grab people’s attention.

1. The Question: “Are You Worried About Your Financial Future?”
A question headline automatically gets your readers involved in your message, because they answer it in their minds. Many people will read further into your letter, ad, or web site copy just to find out what answer or solution you provide. Just make sure the question focuses on the reader’s interest, not yours. A bad example would be: “Do You Know What New Product We’ve Created This Year?” (No one cares but you!)

2. The How-to: “How to Get Thinner Thighs in 30 Days.”

How-to headlines work very well, because people love information that shows them how to do something. (Thousands of book titles begin with “How to….”) Think of the benefits your product/service offers and then try creating some “how to” headlines.

3. The Testimonial: “Jane Smith’s Consulting Is Pure Magic — Our Sales Have Increased by 30%!”

Why not let your clients do the selling for you? Their recommendations can go a long way in convincing others to use your services. Tip: To appear credible, always include your clients’ full names, the cities they live in, a photo, and any other relevant information.

4. The Command: “Boost Your Business Today!”

Turn your most important benefit into a commanding headline, such as “Make More Time for Your Family,” “Look Younger Instantly!” and “Get 7 New Clients This Month.” (By the way, throwing a number into your headline is another good tactic. And readers seem to like odd numbers as opposed to even.)

5. The News: “Introducing Our New ‘Rest-Assured’ Tax Service!”

Caution: This only works if you truly have something big to announce that is of interest to the reader. (Something that will make her life or business better.) Don’t try to make news out of something that’s not.

Once your readers know you have something they’re interested in, they’ll take the time to read your entire article, web page, blog post, brochure, letter, ad, or e-zine. So put some TLC into creating headlines that entice!

Do You Know About This? It's a Life Changer!

by Chris Atley

I've been teaching the law of polarity a lot this week - and harnessing it fully in my own life to be honest :)

This is a universal law that exists whether you believe it or not. Test it if you need to. It basically means that everything has an opposite, i.e. hot/cold, left/right, etc. The awesome thing about this law is that anything you are experiencing on the inside (i.e. your thoughts), must also exist on the outside (i.e. your reality). This is great news! Allow me to translate what this means for your business and life. It means that any desire you have, i.e. financial goal, relationship goal, etc., the way to achieve it already exists around you. You simply cannot have a desire without the means for it also being present.

Pretty cool right? The trick here though is to be open to receiving it. You must get out of your own way in order to see the way to make it happen. If you're not open minded you won't see how to achieve it. It could be right in front of your nose, and you wouldn't see it. The key is to be operating on the same frequency as your desires.

You've probably heard about the law of attraction, also known as the law of vibration.
This law states that we're all energy. Our thoughts and feelings dictate our reality. If we think negative things, we will attract more to us that makes us feel negative. The good news is that it works the other way too. If we think positive thoughts, we will attract more to us to be positive about.

From a physics standpoint, our thoughts and feeling determine what frequency our energy is vibrating at, and we attract more to us of what operates on that same frequency. Bad = more bad and good = more good. This is why feeling thankful and being in a place of gratitude is so important. When we think and feel this way, we attract more to us that we're thankful for.

Take this knowledge and apply it to the law of polarity. If we want to create something in our lives that will make us feel a certain way, i.e. more money = more freedom, then we need to be operating from a place of feeling good. Do what you need to do to operate from a positive place. This is the only way you will be able to notice and therefore receive what it is you desire. A quick way to do this, is to run through everything in your life that you're thankful for. Another way is to take care of yourself! Spend time doing the things you love that make you feel good. Running around 24/7 isn't going to do it.

Give it a try. Think about what you really want in life. What are you hoping your business can help you achieve? Know that it is possible and the way to do it is already there. I have the perfect example of this. Most of you know after I first watched the movie the Secret, I decided I wanted to move to California. I'd felt a pull there for a long time, but that's a whole other ezine :)

Anyway, job opportunities kept coming up for my husband in the Inland Empire of Southern California. We decided not to pursue any of them because they weren't near the beach. After a year or so, we realized that maybe we should check this area out. Sure enough, my husband applied for a job in that area and got an interview right away. I went with him and was amazed a how I felt! I sat by the hotel pool, while he was at his interview and my view was of snow capped mountains and palm trees! Really, what wasn't to love? I immediately felt like I was home :)

I really believe it look some intense visualizing to be in a state to accept "the way" for this to occur though. I often get my biggest brainstorms after meditating and visualizing what I really want. If you haven't tried this before, just close your eyes and breathe for a few minutes. Don’t judge what pops into your mind. If you get off track, just think about breathing again. Do this for a few minutes and then visualize what you really want. They key here is to really feel it. Just picturing it won't work. You have to "feel" what it "feels" like to already have it. Watch what happens afterward, it's magical!

Is Your Niche Hot--Or Not?

by Kendall SummerHawk
You know those “before” photos that show a gal in her sweats, hair pulled back in a scrunchie and with no makeup? Then they show you the “after,” where she’s dressed in a pretty new outfit, great shoes, and wearing the right shade of lipstick?

She looks so different on the outside that you hardly recognize her. Yet, on the inside, she’s the same beautiful woman she always was. She just needed the right “do over” to bring out her brilliance.

In an instant, she went from “NOT” to “hot.” The same can be true with your niche!

You know it’s hot because your business is growing quickly, you keep filling your programs and referrals steadily flow in.

But what if that’s NOT what you’re experiencing? What if you love how you can help people but they just don’t seem to “get” it, leaving you feeling frustrated and ignored?

The first thing I look at with all my clients (yes, at every stage of business, from beginning to more advanced) is their niche. I’m assessing to see if it’s looking like those worn out sweats, but perhaps covering up a diamond in disguise. With just a few of the right tweaks my clients quickly reposition their niche and just as quickly begin attracting new — and usually higher end — clients.

Let me share with you simple tips to help you transform your niche from “not” to hot. These tips can save you years of frustration in trying to grow your business, so enjoy!

Tip #1 Is Your Niche Easy To Relate To?

Plugging away at a dead-end niche is dispiriting. Which is why it’s critical to listen to what the problem is your ideal clients struggle with the most…rather than you deciding for them what you think they should want or care about.

So while it’s great you may want to help people "step into their power" or "find themselves" or "create inner alignment", unless you tie these types of soft topics to a tangible result, no one will be able to relate to what you’re offering.

And by all means, be willing to specialize! Too often, when clients first join our coaching programs, they’re trying to appeal to business owners AND moms AND couples AND…well, you get my point, right?

Consider this: You help no one if you try to help everyone.

Tip #2 Are You Giving Your Clients A "Done for You" Solution?

It may not be your niche that’s the problem but the way your solutions are being packaged. What works best in today’s economy is "done for you” solutions rather than the “do it yourself” approach.

Good news is, every business has the opportunity to provide templates, checklists or other done-for-you materials. I suggest looking at all of the great content and materials you have as a ready-made resource to pull from. With a little bit of creativity you can put together an offer that includes done-for-you content your clients will snap up.

Tip #3 Kevin Costner Had It All Wrong…
Remember how in A Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner magically had his favorite baseball team appear just because he cleared his corn field? While I’m all for getting yourself prepared for success, if you apply that theory to your niche, you’re likely to end up sitting in that same corn field…alone.

Instead, I coach my clients to use a simple system I created for transforming “that thing you do” into an exciting Signature System and a compelling offer that attracts plenty of new clients. Here’s how it works: Your Signature System outlines the 3-10 steps you’ll take your clients through to create the results they want.

And here’s a bonus tip: Each step is focused on your client achieving something specific (or solving a specific problem) that helps them see, hear and feel a result. This way, your clients appreciate the value of how you’re helping them early in your work together, leading to you getting awesome referrals and compelling testimonials.

Here’s A “Niche Mantra” I Created To Help You Get Clarity…
It’s so easy to get caught up in trying to market what you’re awesome at doing (instead of what it is people are hungry for). To help you get (or stay) focused on the right niche here’s a mantra you want to take to heart and memorize:

“You must *BE* the solution to the problem people most want solved”

Creating the right niche for you and your business isn’t difficult, but it must be at the top of your to-do list. Once you’re clear and can communicate your message and the solution you offer easily, your business is going to take off.

And your best resource for getting clear on your niche, your Signature System and your offers? Hire a mentor who is creative and has a depth of experience in helping entrepreneurs like you create the ideal niche!

How Leaders Ignite Their Business and Attract Ideal Clients by Letting Their Junk Go - Part 2

by Kelly O'Neil

In our last article, we talked all about cleaning up your physical clutter. This week we are going to talk about aligning your energy by cleaning up the mental clutter.

Clutter is really anything that gets in the way of what matters most to you. So if you find yourself feeling massively overwhelmed, constantly short on time, unable to sleep or meditate because your mind is racing, and have that feeling that the to-do list will never be done, you are suffering from mental clutter. If your monkey mind is on overload, here are a few tips to calm the savage beast.

Tame Your To Do List: I teach my clients a 4 step process to tame your to do list: dump it out of your head, prioritize the list, delegate anything that someone else can do and calendar the rest. You know what they say, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Examine Your Tolerations & Create a Plan: Your mind likely swarms with unfinished business: the taxes that aren't filed, the bills that aren't paid, the messy garage, errands that haven't been run or the last 10 pounds that you never seem to lose. Make a list of all the things in your life that you are tolerating and then create a plan to knock it off. You don't want a mediocre life do you?

Dump the Emotional Baggage: We all have it. Family or friends that you need to forgive. Hurt feelings that weigh heavily on you and you just haven't mustered up the courage to confront your offender. Grudges that you are holding onto like a pro. It's time to let it go as it is just draining your precious energy. Write a letter, do a forgiveness mediation or have the conversation you have been avoiding. There is nothing more important than you feeling good emotionally.

Review Your Strategic Plan: If you are one of my clients, you have one of these and now is the time to review it and make sure you are on track. If you don't have a plan, now is the time to make one so that you don't waste your valuable time, energy and money spinning in circles. I challenge you to ask yourself WHY you are doing the things you are doing in your business and see what you can stop doing because it isn't yielding you the results you desire anyway.

Create New Systems: Nothing brings peace of mind like a good system. Systems allow you to seamlessly delegate your tasks to your teams knowing that they have a process to follow that will create the result you desire and allow them more autonomy to work on their own. Check out my business partner Beth Schneider of Process Prodigy if you are looking for someone to help you. She is an operational genius!

Take the time to align your energy and then sit back and watch how the world responds to you. You'll be amazed, I promise.

6 Strategies to Attract More Clients

by Chris Atley

#1: Get clear on what you do for people. I’ve talked a little bit about “WIIFM” (What’s in it for me?). Make sure you know what results people get as a result of working with you. Get clear on the befits you offer. Make sure this is sprinkled throughout your marketing materials and also in the way you speak about what you do. People want to buy based on the solution you can solve for them. Think about past clients you’ve helped or even what your expertise is.

#2: Gain visibility. Telling 3 people (regardless of who they are), works! You never know who someone is going to know, and it also gives you practice explaining what you do. Try to get out there - in front of people - as much as you can. Joining networking groups and attending seminars where your ideal client hangs out are great for doing this. It’s also helpful to attend things that reflect your interests. You will likely meet like minded people there and these people can turn into great clients or even centers of influence (people who refer clients to you). Make sure you have a follow-up system in place for after these events too. This will help you keep in touch and build relationships.

#3: Set the intention for what you want. For example, is it “x” amount of new clients by the end of June or a maybe a dollar amount you’re trying to achieve? Focus on this everyday and make sure you have a reminder, like a sticky note posted in a place where your intention will stay in the forefront of your mind.

#4: Try to spend a few minutes every day visualizing how your life will be different if you have “x” amount of new clients. What will you be doing differently? How will you feel once you’ve achieved it? I can’t tell you how important this one is. By acting like you already have it (even if it’s just for a few minutes a day), you will put yourself in the same frequency of what it is that you’re trying to achieve. You will start to attract the right people, places and experiences into your life that will help you achieve your goal. Of course, you must take inspired action for it to actually happen. Unfortunately, the new clients won’t just show-up at your doorstep, but the idea that will turn them into paying clients will :)

#5. Address any limiting money beliefs as they arise. Making more money means financial freedom. What does this look like for you? What will you do with the money? How will your life change? How do you look at other people that are at the level you want to be at? Is it negative in anyway? If you’re harboring resentment towards these people, I can guarantee that deep down you’re afraid of what type of person you will be if you do achieve your goal. Instead, think of a positive role model. Someone who is at the level you want to be at that has similar values to you and is doing things with their money that you also want to do, i.e. starting a charity.

#6: Last but not least, try different things. Keep trying different marketing strategies until you see what sticks. Pay attention to the type of promotions your prospects respond to right down to the type of language you use. For example, I’ve found that I get more of a response to offering a bonus with my programs instead of discounting them by a percentage. Keep doing what works and feels right for you!

Author Q&A: Living Space by Kathryn Weber

Kathryn Weber is the author of, Living Space: Simple Steps to Transform Your Home , which was influenced by her passion for feng shui, decorating, business and style. Encouraged by her own success in “creating her life” with feng shui, good design, and thoughtful living, she embarked on a career in helping others do the same with feng shui.

In 2005, she began writing Living Space, a home lifestyle column dedicated to helping readers create beautiful, harmonious and supportive home environments that is syndicated nationally through Tribune Media Services. Kathryn is visiting the blog today to talk about her new book.

Deb Bailey: Thanks for joining us today, Kathryn. What inspired you to write, Living Space?

Kathryn Weber: Living Space is a compilation of my weekly newspaper columns from the past two years. The book seemed like a good opportunity to put these columns together so homeowners and DIY-ers could have all the tips and ideas in one place.

Deb: That's terrific. So, what's the book about?

Kathryn: The topic is about creating a home that’s beautiful, comfortable, organized and clean easily and with a budget in mind, and going room by room. It seemed like there was a common thread of specific room decorating, such as kitchen, bedroom, home office, etc., that seemed like a natural fit for a book.

Deb: Did you have a specific reader in mind for Living Space? Who will get the most out of it?

Kathryn: It's for anyone who wants to improve their life by improving their living space. It’s perfect for those who like to decorate or tackle home improvement projects on their own, specifically people like me who enjoy prowling around home improvement stores for neat new gadgets, organizer and decorating ideas.

Deb: There are so many decorating books on the market. What do you feel makes your book different from the others?

Kathryn: I like this question! The reader is the difference. The goal of Living Space is to take great interiors and living spaces and reduce it to projects that can be accomplished with a small amount of construction or DIY experience. After all, many of the topics featured in here are ones I have done myself, so I really like how-to’s. I also like to read about certain decorating styles, such as Industrial or Chinoiserie and boil them down to their essence. The reader can then apply that “essence” to their own home and transform the look of a bedroom or a living room for example.

Deb: When people read, Living Space, what do you want them to come away with?

Kathryn: That they can tackle home improvement and decorating projects, and that it can make a difference in their lives. I often watch home makeover shows where someone has lived in a rundown home and then they’re moved into something brand new and beautiful. I know there is no way their lives will not be changed by the change in their environment. And while this is extreme, I think the same is true of the average homeowner. When we make shifts and changes to our home, such as improving organization, beautifying or making it easier to clean, our lives improve. It’s that simple.  When you change your home, you don’t just impact the house – you change your life.

Deb: Any advice for the busy woman entrepreneur who wants to create a comfortable home and work environment?

Kathryn: I am so glad you asked this! My advice is: don’t neglect your home. It’s easy to think that answering another ten emails is going to get you further ahead in your day or your life, but it just doesn’t. If your bathroom is organized so you can get dressed in the morning quicker and more efficiently, or the yard is an oasis that lifts your spirits at the end of a long day, or coming home to a house that’s clean and orderly, that’s what’s going to make a huge difference in the quality of your life and the life of your family. I say this as a female entrepreneur, too. I firmly believe that the clean, attractive and organized state of my home helps me be more effective in my work life.

Deb: You obviously love your work. What inspires you?

Kathryn: Growing up, I was had one of the first career moms. Our house was often in an uproar….loads of laundry undone, messes here and there. It felt a little out of control. Yet when I went to my grandmother’s house, it was beautiful, clean and life was much more pleasant. I saw firsthand how a clean, attractive house had an effect on members of the household. I also noticed when I grew up that when we cleaned house, our family became more relaxed and that life became more enjoyable and pleasant. It became an obsession of mine to create a better, more balanced environment as a way to create a better life. Home is where the heart is, so when your home is a heartache you avoid it and that creates more heartache. But when your home is a wonderful, enjoyable place to be, your heart’s happy. I enjoy helping people have a better home, and by extension, a better life.

Deb: Please let everyone know where they can find your book.

Kathryn: Certainly, Deb. It’s online at Amazon on Amazon Kindle (http://www.amazon.com/Living-Space-Simple-Transform-ebook/dp/B00AR7MHQQ), also on Itunes for iPad and on Barnes and Noble for the Nook.

Deb: Thanks so much for stopping by today! Before you go, share your website and social media URLs.

How Color Affects Your Marketing

by Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero, Expert Copywriting Strategist
The color of your message says more than you think.

Color makes a statement in your life. It speaks to us, whether it attracts or repels. In fact, color is just another way we can communicate non-verbally.

I’m here to tell you that color also subliminally influences how you spend your money.

Marketing experts tell us that color subliminally influences how you spend your money. Color affects your spending habits so careful consideration is taken when you create that landing page online.

In business your understanding of colors and what they say about you impacts your business. Picking your colors and their complementary choice is serious business.

Curious how to integrate color for yourself? Enjoy this handy guide to using color in business communications! Here are some colors that deliver a message.

  • Red is all about ardent energy, passion, action, and thrills. It’s a stimulating color that grabs attention.
  • Use Orange for a feeling of social communication, optimism and affordability so you feel that you are getting good value.
  • Burgundy or brown has luxury written all over it.
  • Go green and feel like you are helping the environment. So you are attracting eco-minded clients.
  • Yellow is the color of intellect and high thought, yet it can also stimulate your energy & appetite.
  • Blue elicits trust and dependability. So choose this color to improve customer loyalty.
  • Purple lets your imagination and creativity run wild. It also represents wealth. Purple traditionally appeals to women & children.
  • Pretty in pink is a calming color and that can loosen your wallet making it less painful to spend.
  • White is selected by 75% of top skin care brand packaging. Pure as the driven snow you connect honesty and simplicity when you have lots of white space. Think Apple!

It’s no secret. Money you make marketing yourself is a lot more than color on a web page, it comes down to how well you craft your words. It’s the most valuable skill you can learn for making money online. As long as you know that smart marketers have chosen colors on that website to strategically influence your spending.

You don’t have to be a color expert to make color work for you. It’s just one more layer, along with your copy and other aspects, that get prospects to bond with you and ultimately think of you when they need your product or service.
